The point of the club isn’t to talk about literature, but to get away from pinging electronic devices and read, uninterrupted. I love to read, yet making time to read novels was a rarity. I tended to find myself skimming articles and blogs, enjoying only the photos in magazines, and picking up work related books over a novel.
Then I saw the SLOW READING CLUB site and was inspired. It’s not really a book club with discussions. It is time to relax, unplug, and read!
There is something quite luxurious about cozy-ing up and escaping into a good story.
